Dual Protocol Gameplay: The Official 16-Minute Run
The best look at real Dual Protocol gameplay before launch is the developer's own video. In it, Aegean Crafters play the demo with both screens shown side by side: Miles at the terminals on the left, Eva in the field on the right. There is no voice-over, so the timeline below shows what is happening on each side.
What happens in the video, screen by screen
Times are approximate. We read them from the video's preview frames and its on-screen captions.
| Time | Miles (left) | Eva (right) | On-screen hint |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0:00 | Title screen | Title screen | |
| 0:45 | A terminal screen | A desk with case papers and an ID card | |
| 1:30 | A computer asking for TIME and DATE | Special Investigation Department ID card, then the office in isometric view and a wall clock | |
| 3:00 | Time and date being entered; a grid display | A desk calendar, a notice board, a dial safe | |
| 4:15 | A city map with notes pinned beside it | A locker room, then a garage with a red car | |
| 5:00 | The city map | A car driving through the city at night (top-down) | |
| 6:15 | A radar-style grid screen | The manor stairs; a woman in green appears with a letter | |
| 7:00 | The grid screen | Rooms with wall clocks, a bathroom | |
| 8:40 | An MP3 player device | A study and a red sitting room | "The frequency that will break the glass is 1400 Hz." |
| 9:00 | The MP3 player | Gramophones in several rooms | "Find the frequency of the records by comparing the songs on the MP3 player and gramophones." |
| 10:45 | The MP3 player | Gramophones being played | "To reach the combined frequency that breaks the glass, we need to find the right tracks and play them on gramophones." |
| 13:30 | A signal screen with a dial and bars | An antenna console with a dish | |
| 15:50 | Back to the title screen |
What the video tells you about the game
- The screens really are split. Almost every puzzle needs something from both sides. Miles's computer asks for a time and date while the clock and calendar sit in Eva's office.
- It's a road trip too. The case moves from the office to a garage, a night drive and then the manor. It is not a single escape room.
- Sound puzzles. The manor section turns on audio: matching songs between Miles's MP3 player and Eva's gramophones until the combined frequency hits 1400 Hz.
- Analog machines everywhere. There's a dial safe, a radar grid, an antenna console and a signal dial, all in the 90s CRT look.

Gameplay questions
Is there official Dual Protocol gameplay?
Yes. The developer Aegean Crafters uploaded a 16-minute gameplay video on July 11, 2026. It shows both players' screens side by side and has no commentary, only music and a few on-screen hints.
Is the gameplay video from the full game?
It is from the pre-release build the demo was based on. After demo players got stuck, the developers said they changed clues in the Analyst's room. Treat the codes and details in the video as demo-only.
