DUAL PROTOCOL FAQ
All Questions
When does Dual Protocol come out?
DUAL PROTOCOL: The Case of Eva & Miles is scheduled for October 2, 2026 on Steam for Windows PC. The store page did not list an exact unlock hour when we checked on October 1.
Do both players need to own Dual Protocol?
Plan on two copies. Each player runs the game on their own PC, and no Friend Pass has been announced. A player asked about one in the Steam discussions on September 30, 2026 and had no developer reply when we checked.
Can you play Dual Protocol solo?
No. Steam lists it as online co-op and multiplayer only, with no single-player category. The puzzles are split between Agent Eva and Analyst Miles, and neither screen shows the full picture.
Is Dual Protocol on PS5, Xbox, Switch or Mac?
Not at launch. The Steam page lists Windows only, and no PS5, Xbox, Switch or Mac version has been announced. Both players need a Windows PC.
Does Dual Protocol have controller support?
The Steam page lists no controller support. It does carry a Mouse Only Option tag, so one hand on the mouse is enough. Keep the other hand free for your notes.
Is there a Dual Protocol demo?
Not right now. There was a demo earlier in 2026, but it has been taken down, and the Steam store page no longer offers one. The full game is due on October 2.
How much does Dual Protocol cost?
The price had not been published on the Steam page as of October 1, 2026. We will add it to the launch page as soon as it goes live.
What languages does Dual Protocol support?
Eleven: English, French, Italian, German, Turkish, Spanish (Spain), Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Portuguese (Brazil). The game is built on talking, so make sure you and your partner share a spoken language.
Does Dual Protocol use generative AI?
A player asked this on the Steam forums on September 28, 2026. The store page has no AI-generated content disclosure, and the developers had not answered the thread when we checked.
Who makes Dual Protocol?
It is developed by Aegean Crafters and published by Rock Paper Publisher. The studio's official site is aegeancrafters.co and its Discord opened on September 27, 2026.
Is Dual Protocol scary?
It is a noir mystery about a murder, not a jump-scare horror game. Germany's USK rates it 6+ and Brazil rates it 10+ for frightening content. Indonesia's IGRS gives it 18+ for horror and violence, so expect a dark tone.
