Dual Protocol PC Specs: Minimum & Recommended
DUAL PROTOCOL is a light game. The minimum spec is a 2.0 GHz dual-core processor and any graphics chip with 512 MB of video memory, which most laptops from the last decade clear easily. Both players need a PC that meets it, because each of you runs your own copy on your own screen.

Steam Deck, Mac and Linux
Steam Deck: no Valve compatibility rating has been published yet (checked October 1, 2026). The game is Windows only, with no Mac or Linux build listed. If you try it on Deck through Proton, a mouse-driven point-and-click game usually works fine on the trackpad. Treat that as untested until Valve rates it.
Controller and accessibility
- Controller: the Steam sidebar lists no controller support.
- Mouse Only Option: yes. Steam tags the game as playable with just the mouse.
- Playable without Timed Input: yes. There are no reaction tests, so take as long as you need on a description.
- Save Anytime and Custom Volume Controls: both listed.
What actually matters more than specs
A clean voice line matters more than your hardware. Dual Protocol is played entirely by talking, so a headset with a decent microphone and a stable connection will help you more than a better GPU. Our co-op setup page covers voice options.
